Project Description

Able were contracted to design and build a TV System and Data Network for a new 600 room student residence for Essex University.

The TV system was a conventional IRS, taking satellite and TV signals from the tallest tower in the complex, providing TV signals for all students.

The Data Network used Brand-Rex cabling to provide network Cat6 outlets for all students and OM3 fibre for connecting computer rooms. Able also built a building management system using HP Procurve switches.
