Athletes Village is an accommodation centre built for the visiting Athletes for the Olympic Games in London.

Able were contracted to install a TV and Data system for three hundred apartments spread over six apartment blocks within Athletes Village.

The requirement was that each apartment receives both Astra and Hotbird satellite signals as well as Terrestrial TV and Radio signals.

Due to the size of the site, Able designed a fibre backbone to carry the satellite signals between blocks, with each block having its own TV headend. Able also installed a mini-data network in each apartment.
