Which? were carrying out a major refurbishment of their Marylebone office. Able were chosen after a competitive tender process to supply and install the new structured cabling solution.

The new office required 3,000 Brand-Rex Cat6 outlets installed over three floors, each floor being cabled from two patch rooms. Able connected the patch rooms through diversely routed OM3 fibre and voice backbones.

In the main computer room, Able installed Cooper B-Line cabinets, fitted with the Unite Hawki-2 intelligent power monitor and control products.

To complete the project, Able managed the migration of 500 users into the new building, arriving from several smaller offices. Scheduled over five weekends, this included:

• Providing an asset register of all their computer equipment
• Surveys of the old offices to ensure continuity of service in the new location
• A full desk moves service into the new building, including patching of services
• Connection and test of the desktop equipment
